Call for Abstracts: 10th Combined Dermatology Congress

Abstracts of research results in all disciplines of Dermatology are requested for submission for the 10th Combined Dermatology Congress, 20 - 23 August 2026. Abstracts will be peer reviewed for scientific content and authors will be informed if the paper/poster is accepted.

Theme for the congress: Scientific Innovation. Clinical Excellence. Dermatology Reimagined.

Deadline for abstract submission: 15 May 2026

Please indicate the type of presentation you submit the abstract for:

  • Scientific research presentation
  • Registrar presentation
  • Poster presentation

Guidelines for submissions:

  1. Only abstracts submitted electronically will be considered for inclusion in the programme.
  2. Abstracts must be in English.
  3. Authors are invited to indicate their preference for oral and/or poster presentation, but the final decision on the format of presentation rests with the Scientific Committee.
  4. All abstracts received will be acknowledged, and authors will be sent acceptance or rejection letters by 10 June 2026.
  5. Conflict of interest disclaimer: If the research is funded (partially or fully) by a proprietary organisation, a statement to that effect must be included at the bottom of the abstract.
  6. Please note that no more than three submissions will be accepted per presenter due to possible programme limitations.
  7. It remains the responsibility of the main author to ensure that submitted abstracts have been edited before submission, to minimise errors in the programme.
  8. Presenting authors are requested to fully register for the congress. Upon presenting author’s failure to register by 21 July 2026, it will automatically imply that the abstract will not be included in the Final Programme, nor be printed in the abstract book.
  9. If your abstract is accepted for presentation, it does not automatically mean that you are a sponsored speaker, you are still responsible for your own congress expenses.

Instructions to authors

Each abstract must clearly state the following:

  1. Abstract title
  2. Name and list of authors(s)
  3. The name of the presenting author must appear first in the list of authors.
  4. Affiliations of all author(s)
  5. Contact details of first presenting author (telephone numbers, e-mail address, etc)
  6. Preferred format of presentation (oral or poster)
  7. Abstracts must be typed in English, single line spacing, Arial font, font size 12
  8. The body of the text must not exceed 300 words (this is excluding the information listed in point 1-4)
  9. The abstract must adhere to the following format:
    1. Introduction: should be brief and informative, stating the aim of the study.
    2. Methods: include description of subjects and research methodology.
    3. Results: outline the findings of the study supported by statistics where appropriate. Do not use figures, graphs, or tables in the abstract. The data provided must be sufficient to permit peer review of the abstract.

Any abstract that does not adhere to the specified formats, will not be included in the congress or the congress publication.

Poster presentation

Initial poster abstract submissions need to be accompanied by a 50-100 word biography of the main author, as well as a head & shoulders profile picture of the main author.

All accepted abstracts of posters and presentations will be published in the abstract book without any further editing.

All accepted posters will be displayed electronically, if your poster abstract is accepted, you will receive detailed specifications after acceptance of your poster in June.

Posters will not be presented in person, but will be individually reviewed by the judges, prior to the congress. It will however be electronically displayed in the Exhibition Hall.
